St. Johns County has completed intersection improvements in Nocatee that add a traffic signal and dedicated crossings for pedestrians and golf carts at Preservation Trail, Colonnade Boulevard and Palm Valley Road.

County officials said the project is intended to improve traffic flow, accessibility and connections for people traveling through the area by vehicle, on foot or by golf cart.

Separate traffic movements

The new signal at Colonnade Drive and Preservation Trail provides separate phases for traffic movements, a change county officials said is meant to make the intersection more predictable during busy school and commuter periods.

The work also includes a protected crossing for pedestrians and golf carts. County officials said the crossing improves access among nearby neighborhoods, parks, shops and restaurants.

Construction began in February 2026 and was completed in August 2026, according to the county.
