Baptist Health plans to open its new emergency department at the SilverLeaf Medical Campus in St. Johns County on Sept. 22.
The freestanding emergency department is located at 8595 St. Johns Parkway in St. Augustine. Medical offices on the 33.6-acre campus began seeing patients in June.
Emergency and outpatient services
The two-story emergency department totals 21,965 square feet and will include 16 treatment rooms, two trauma rooms, and imaging services including CT, X-ray and ultrasound.
The facility has separate adult and pediatric waiting and treatment areas. Pediatric services are intended for patients through age 17.
Next to the emergency department, a two-story medical building has 50 exam rooms for outpatient primary care, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, rehabilitation and laboratory services.
Campus planned for growth
The campus also includes a central courtyard. Its master plan allows for future expansion as the surrounding community grows.
Baptist Health said the site is positioned to serve an average of 1.02 million people who live within a 30-minute drive of the medical campus.
